What will be taught?
In this 6-week course, Master Your Mind: Practical Skills for Teen Wellbeing, teens will learn essential skills to manage their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. The course introduces strategies for handling everyday stress, promoting emotional regulation, and building resilience. Students will learn how to apply these practical tools to improve their overall well-being and approach challenges with more confidence.

How is your class structured?
The course is interactive, with a combination of instruction, exercises, and practical applications. Each live session includes:

Learning: I will introduce key concepts using easy-to-understand explanations and multimedia.
Practice: Students will participate in structured exercises like identifying and reframing negative thoughts.
Application: Weekly assignments such as thought reflection tasks and problem-solving activities will help students apply what they’ve learned.
Class Structure:

Lecture: Clear explanations of well-being strategies.
Interactive Exercises: Practical tools to help manage thoughts, emotions, and stress.
Group Discussions: Class discussions on techniques (no sharing of personal experiences).
Assignments: Weekly tasks to reinforce the skills learned and a final project that integrates all techniques.
How will you teach?
I use a student-centered approach, providing practical techniques and strategies to help teens better manage their daily thoughts and emotions. The material is presented in a clear, structured way, with interactive activities and positive reinforcement to boost confidence and engagement. No therapeutic techniques or medical advice are given, and the class focuses on skills for everyday use.

I create a supportive and engaging environment where students can feel comfortable learning and practicing new skills. My teaching style emphasizes clarity, positive reinforcement, and real-world application. Students will leave each class with actionable strategies to help manage their thoughts and emotions.

How much will learners get to interact with you?
Students will have multiple opportunities to interact with me during live sessions. Each class includes Q&A, exercises, and feedback. I will provide individualized feedback on assignments, and students can contact me between classes if they have questions or need support on their final project.

Assignments and Activities
Learners will complete assignments designed to reinforce the well-being strategies covered in class. These include:

Practice Activities: Apply techniques like reframing thoughts and problem-solving strategies.
Final Project: A personal "Wellbeing Toolbox" that integrates all the skills learned.
Additionally, learners will have the option to complete weekly journal prompts to reflect on the lessons more deeply.

My experience includes helping children with disabilities such as autism learn new skills. I’m passionate about teaching and learning, and I’m excited to share this passion with you and your child!
