Drawing supplies: A student can complete this class entirely with paper, pencil, eraser, and markers and/or colored pencils, but I encourage students to experiment with any drawing media of their choice. Suggested supplies: Sketchbook, multipurpose paper, Markers, color pencils, brush pens, watercolor paint (I also recommend a blow dryer to speed up this process!) watercolor paper, Sharpie markers, any size paper surfaces will work! I like a large paper because it give me more room to work out my mistakes.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
I hold a BA (2004) in Fine Arts from Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Maryland. I have been a self employed community artist and private art instructor since 2012.
I have loved Anime and Manga since 7th grade, back in 1995 before there was even an internet connection in my house! I also studied Japanese in Middle/High school for 5 years, and after college taught English through the JET program to 1st through 6th graders at Misato Elementary, in Azuminoshi, Nagano, Japan. I often incorporate basic Japanese alphabet, Kanji, language and culture into my art lessons. I am very excited to be sharing my love of all things Japan with the next generation of world travelers and anime and manga enthusiasts.
