In this ongoing class, makeup-lovers will receive a fun new theme each week. Students are encouraged to dress for the theme if they wish. We will create makeup looks inspired by the theme. Students will have an opportunity to socialize and collaborate with other makeup-lovers. Students are encouraged to explore their creativity. Students will brainstorm together and encourage one another. Students will ask questions and receive guidance as they challenge themselves artistically. A variety of techniques will be presented as the instructor participates in each challenge. Students can choose to follow along with the techniques presented or explore their own. This is an inclusive community; any student at any experience level is welcome to join.

Students should bring their makeup collections and have access to a mirror. If you would like recommendations for inexpensive but high quality cosmetics, feel free to send me a message.

I am a math education professor, math tutor, math textbook contributing author and editor, former high school math teacher, former makeup artist, and mom of two girls. I am thrilled to be able to share my passions with you! 

I love helping students with math! I have over 20 years of experience as a mathematics educator. I stress breaking it down to the basics, learning through exploration and developing connections between topics, as well as finding ways to make math approachable and fun. My math classes encourage creative problem solving and logical thinking.

I also love helping my students gain self-confidence and express themselves artistically through makeup. Makeup is my art and my happy place. Join me to learn the basics of natural, easy makeup to enhance your natural beauty, or for a more advanced class to learn more advanced techniques and challenge yourself artistically. All are welcome in my classes - I foster an inclusive community where we value individuality and find the beauty in everyone.
