On the first day of class, we will start by reading a fun script about kids who travel back in time. I will coach students on their pronunciation of words, and we will practice being good actors: saying our words clearly and with expression. Students are welcome to come up with silly voices for their characters as long as their words can still be understood! We will read the script a few more times until students feel ready to perform it, and then students will read it for a final time, imagining that we have an audience, or having parents and friends listen at home!

At the end of class, each student will get to ask for one thing that will be in the next day's story, such as a princess, a fast car, a sad clown, etc. I will write a short, age-appropriate script using these prompts and post it in the classroom at least two hours before the next class is scheduled to begin. For each class, I will post role assignments in the classroom along with the scripts. 

I am a kind, encouraging teacher who helps kids feel comfortable and confident! This class improves reading and acting skills, but is mostly just a lot of fun!
