Hacer slime comestible

Experiencia de clase

In this fun and engaging class, students will make Jell-O edible slime using basic ingredients.  Students will need to bring ingredients to class in order to create live with the class. However, it is totally fine if students just want to watch and make slime later their own. I will send the recipe to parents after the class. Students will have a fun time making slime in a class setting and showing off their slime at the end of class. We will also discuss other edible items they can add to their slime to make it even better! The teacher will share two additional recipes for edible slime. The teacher will send the recipe cards after class. These recipes can be made with family and friends after our class time.

Metas de aprendizaje

Students will use basic science, cooking, speaking skills in this class. Students will be shown step by step how to make Gelatin Slime- edible slime. Students will discuss items they can add to their slime and talk about what they learned at the end of class. Students will also be given the opportunity to show off their slime. Each slime will be different colors etc depending on the type of Jello each child chooses. Each slime will be unique to each student :).

1 cup cornstarch- more as needed
1 regular size package of sugar free Gelatin any flavor ( 6 oz) ( sugar-free is a little less messy because it doesn’t stick to hands as much.) 
3/4 cup warm water 

Cookie sheet or tray
Measuring cup
Tablespoon 
1 mixing or big bowl
Spoons 
Paper towels ( to help clean up any mess)

Hello Everyone! My name is Sarah Gammon and I am excited to meet all of you in my classroom! I have five children of my own and have been an educator for ten years. I have taught 4th grade and was a school librarian at a K-8th school for several years. As a school librarian, I taught over 750 students a week, grades kindergarten through eighth grade. I also have two years’ experience teaching students online in the classroom. I look forward to meeting each of you! Let's have fun learning together!
