Beginning with a song and dance from a video clip, I will introduce/review the concept of division. Terminology such as: divisor, dividend, quotient, place value, etc. will all be discussed. The students will then sort their M&M candies into color groups. I will read an excerpt of "More M&M's Math" by Barbara McGrath, before we create division problems to solve using their M&Ms. (PDF printout provided before class). This is a great introduction into basic division, or simply a good review for anyone who needs it.

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences.
