++ Please note: this is a continuation of my "Intro to Dutch" Levels 1 - 8 classes (80 lessons in total).
Students who have completed all 80 lessons are welcome to sign up for level 9 ++

Just like in the previous levels, we will be using dialogues and breakout rooms (if there are more than 3 students enrolled)*

NEW THIS LEVEL: each lessons comes with a video where two actors act out the dialogue. This way students will be able to watch the dialogues to try and figure out what is being said. The videos can also be used afterwards to go back over the learned content and review. 

*The use of breakout rooms is to practice the dialogues/theater texts. This is only a small (but very important) part of the class time (around 10 - 15 min.). This way everyone will get to practice at the same time. The students will get the dialogue ahead of time as well as a recording so they can prepare for it on their own. During class I will make time to go over any new words both the pronunciation and the meaning. I will be able to pop into every breakout room to check on the students. Breakout rooms are only used in classes with more than 3 students.

In Level 9, we will use a variety of age-appropriate theater texts to introduce a topic and each learner will get a chance to read out loud.  

The main focus of this level is expansion of the vocabulary and a review of previous acquired knowledge (vocabulary as well as grammar) as well as learn more of Dutch and Belgian culture.

At the end of this level, we will do a Kahoot-quiz.

Lesson 3: 'Een kunstwerk maken' (Making a work of art)
Lesson 4: 'Een film maken' (Making a movie)
Lesson 5: 'Een kamer inrichten' (Decorating a room)
Lesson 6: 'Soep koken' (Making soup)
Lesson 7: 'De zolder opruimen' (Cleaning the attic)
Lesson 8: 'De nieuwe laptop' (The new laptop)
Lesson 9: 'Fietsen op een tandem' (Biking on a tandem bike)
Lesson 10: Review Kahoot-quiz

A Google Slide presentation will be used during this class, but students do NOT need to access Google for this.
I only use Google Slides in a screen-share.

The students are asked to verbally participate in order for the teacher to give feedback and corrections.

Class sizes are kept small in order to ensure that every student is able to participate.   

Just like in Levels 1 through 8, students will get extra material to work on at home, but this is optional.
