My unique learning method increases understanding of print awareness, letter knowledge, vocabulary, reading and writing skills. Emergent readers want to read independently. Learning sight words will build confidence and strengthen lifelong reading skills. Early readers require understanding letters and letter sounds; recalling words; and identifying words in stories. We will use Fry’s 100 word list with TPR (Total Physical Response) to make the connection between letters, phonics and words. ...

As an Outschool ACE educator, my goal is to encourage reading skills. Your child's ability to recognize words will spark a desire for reading. I have been an teacher for the past ten years in schools and home environments. I believe learning takes place with attention, relevance, memory and engagement. Letters Make Words uses letters recognition to illustrate how words are formed. Your child's understanding of forming words will advance into writing and vocabulary skills. This course is also the perfect way to master common core reading and writing standards while increasing vocabulary.
