"The First Cat in Space Ate Pizza," by Mac Barnett and Shawn Harris, is a fantastically fun book!  During this four-week course, we will read the book, discuss the authors, the art, the plot, the music (yes, this book has a soundtrack!), and even learn a little about space.  We will also learn some new vocabulary, while recognizing the different elements of story, such as:
-characters
-setting
-point of view
-theme
-genre
And we'll even learn what a "running gag" is! (Hint: there are quite a few of them in this book.)
