Hello! My name is Bethany McClure. I attended Auburn University where I earned my B.S. and M.Ed. in Elementary Education and my M.S. in Early Childhood Education. I received my EdS in Curriculum & Instruction: Early Childhood from LSU. I am currently working on my dissertation at LSU to receive my PhD next summer! I have 13 years of experience in the education field. I have taught preschool (ages 3 and 4), Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade. My experience includes teaching gifted learners, as well as at-risk students. I am also an experienced ESL teacher and a National Board Certified Teacher - Early Childhood Generalist. Currently, I am an Instructor within the Elementary Education department at Georgia College & State University.

Teaching is my passion and I am excited to offer some of my favorite lessons and subject knowledge. I believe that "Learning is a journey... not a race!" Learning should be fun and it should be based on student interest. I hope your child will find my classes to be fun, engaging, and a meaningful stepping stone on their own journey through early childhood education.

When I'm not teaching, I enjoy watching Auburn Football and Basketball, as well as Atlanta Braves Baseball. I love spending time with my boyfriend, Clint and I have two children - Sarah (10) and Sophie (7). I love running and am proud to have completed my first marathon, the St. Jude Memphis Marathon! I look forward to learning more about you. See you in class!
