In this course students will expand their recorder skills by learning popular Disney songs on the recorder. Students will enjoy learning to play songs they recognize. Some of the new skills taught in this course will be playing sharps and flats as well as using the higher register on the recorder. 
Students will learn the following songs in this course: 
"Les Poisson" from "The Little Mermaid"
"Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" from "Mary Poppins"
"Bella Note" from "Lady and the Tramp"
"The Bear Necessities" from "The Jungle Book"
"Mickey Mouse March" from "The Mickey Mouse Club"
"Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah" from "Song of the South"
This list is subject to change and all songs may not be covered.
Students will be required to supply a soprano recorder with Baroque style fingering and purchase the songbook for this course. The book for this course is "Recorder Fun! Disney Tunes." Students should have the book by the first class if possible. 
Students will use Flipgrid to demonstrate what they have learned. This gives the teacher the opportunity to hear each student and give them pointers for improvement.
Prerequisite: Let's Play the Recorder- Level 3 or prior knowledge of the C major scale on the soprano recorder. If you have any questions about if your child will meet the prerequisite, please contact the instructor.
