Learn to paint a beautiful War Horse on a 12" x 16" canvas with acrylic paint. Learn how to use different brush sizes to create texture with brush strokes and basic paint mixing. We will mix primary colors red, blue and yellow to create secondary colors green, purple, and orange. Follow step-by-step instructions as we sketch, then paint layer by layer to build a beautiful War Horse together! Customize your War Horse with different shapes, hair lengths, and colors. We will share what we have created at the end of our class! Any drawing or painting experience is helpful but not necessary.

I am Jennifer Jones - Jones of Art: professional Artist , Art Instructor, and Muralist.
You'll learn the basic and advanced techniques of drawing, how to paint and utilize mixed mediums, dabble with pastels, be inspired by artists in history, learn basic animation, digital arts, and much more... You'll gain new motor and cognitive skills along with a new awareness of the importance of creativity and art in our everyday lives as well as your community.
Background: Bachelor's Degree in Media Arts and Animation stemming from Fine Arts with 15 years of instructing experience. I am truly passionate about helping others through art by teaching and experimenting with new techniques and helping students see the world from a new perspective. As a professional Artist and former Chair of the Leander Public Art Commission for the City of Leander, I strive to bring excellent education about art in the community and all areas to those who love to learn, create and explore!
