Dominemos el valor posicional: Ganemos confianza con los números

This class will help children attain a solid understanding of place value so that they are able to approach complex arithmetic problems with confidence. 

We will cover the basics of place value, including: every digit in a number has a value based on its location in that number, that the value increases by a multiple of ten as you move left in a number and vice versa, and that we use zero to keep digits in the correct place.

After a quick icebreaker, we will complete a number of activities to communicate these concepts. Class will be conversational, upbeat, and as visual and hands on as possible. Students will be encouraged to interact throughout the class, contributing to the discussion, actively working problems, and sharing their thought processes.
