In this hands-on class, we'll learn how to make quick, easy (and delicious!) bagels from scratch using just two ingredients (not including food coloring).  This class is great for the beginner baker and bagel-lovers alike!

Learners will follow along as I take them step by step through the recipe, demonstrating and providing detailed explanation as we go.  I will ask questions to encourage critical thinking throughout the class as well as answer any questions that arise.  

In addition to practicing important culinary skills, I deeply value and encourage creativity in all my classes and give ample opportunities for learners to express themselves and explore through food.

While many cooking skills can be taught through online instruction, parents/guardians are best to determine their child's comfort and skill in the kitchen. My goal is to build upon what they already know...safely. If you have any questions about whether your child's skill level is appropriate for a particular class, don't hesitate to reach out. *This recipe requires the use of an oven. Parental supervision may be required for this portion of the class. *As you will be responsible for providing ingredients for this class, please be sure to check all food label ingredients for potential allergens

Hi there!  I'm Priscilla, a former public school teacher and kids cooking instructor with over 20 years of experience in education and instruction.

I teach classes about food and cooking!

I believe kids learn best through authentic experiences, using their senses and natural curiosity to drive exploration.  I've seen first hand with my students and my own child how including kids in every day kitchen activities fosters a lifelong love and appreciation for food and cooking.

I also believe that learning should be FUN in order for it to be most effective.  In my classes, we go beyond skills and drills with games, stories, taste tests and plenty of opportunities for creative expression.  A belly full of freshly prepared food at the end of class doesn't hurt either!

When I'm not teaching, I'm puttering around the kitchen, experimenting with new recipes or ideas or spending time outdoors with my family.
