Evaluación
Learner progress is assessed by the student's increased knowledge and comfort level in the material discussed. There will be time at the end of each class for a question and answer session. we will have fun speaking French and taking risks in a safe environment. I have taught French for over 30 years and I love helping reluctant learners gain confidence in their speaking ability.

Experiencia de clase

This course will involve practicing articulating oneself in French. Communication is fun in spoken language. My teaching style is engaging and participatory. I strive to create a classroom environment that has a serious and comfortable sense of purpose. Learners should have taken one or more years of French classes. I will introduce phrases and encourage each student to take calculated risks by using them in a conversational setting. We will practice pronunciation together by taking turns so that everyone has the opportunity to participate in asking and answering questions. Students will share the newly acquired skills in their own fun, creative, and innovative responses. Our conversations are always original and usually a bit zany. Week 1: Introductions, basic conversation, review of hobbies, professions, numbers, seasons, and weather. Week 2: continuation and building upon lessons from week 1, practice using present tense verbs in conversation, essential, accommodations, and telephone conversational expressions: how to make yourself understood on a phone call. Week 3: Continue to build on lessons from weeks 1 & 2 and begin practicing how to use -er, -ir, -re verbs in conversations, add the future tense, and begin using both the present and future in conversations, review expressions of weather, days of the week, the vocabulary of food and drinks, and end this session with everyday conversation practice. Week 4: Now we will use all of the lessons from previous weeks to have deeper conversations where the student may express their wants and needs as they practice ordering food, using expressions of money, shopping, and travel.
