Do you like drawing people but have difficulty with features like eyes, noses, mouths, or hair? Do you want a place where you can practice, get advice, or be challenged in your portrait drawing skills? Come join as each week we will draw a different feature together using a provided reference photo. - Students will improve their pencil shading and blending skills while learning drawing techniques on human facial features: eyes, noses, mouths, and hair. They will learn about the importance and role of light and how to create the subtle shadows and highlights that bring portraits to life. We will also focus on building our observation skills in order to draw people more accurately.
The teacher has been pencil drawing in a realism style for over 25 years and teaching art online since 2020. She sells hand-drawn pet portraits, but has been commissioned to draw human portraits as well.
