Nivel Beginner
In this class, we will look at images of cats in art history, as well as photos of cats, to see the various ways that cats can be drawn and painted. Then, I will demonstrate the basics of drawing a cat in different positions, and have students follow along. Finally, students will be challenged to come up with a cat "character" - a happy cat, tired cat, mischievous cat, etc., and add their own interpretation of a cat of their choice.

Students will practice comparing and contrasting images of cats in art history.Students will learn the basics of breaking a complex form into simpler parts for drawing.
