Aprender a través de juegos de estrategia: resolución de problemas y trabajo en equipo
La resolución de problemas y el trabajo en equipo son algunas de las habilidades más importantes en el mundo real. Los juegos de estrategia son divertidos y una excelente manera de aprender estas habilidades. Los alumnos colaborarán para encontrar las soluciones óptimas y participarán en un debate saludable.

This class teaches problem solving skills and teamwork, some of the most important skills. Learners will practice how to approach a fresh problem, analyze that problem, and then come up with a solution that they can execute on. This will be done in teams, where each individual will have to advocate for their ideas and, as a group, decide which solution to go with. Afterwards, they will reflect on their decisions. Did they understand the problem well? Did they decide on the right solution?...
- Problem solving skills: being able to encounter a fresh problem and having the confidence and skills to figure it out.
- Teamwork: being able to deliberate with peers on what the best solution is in a way that comes up with the best solution.
- Reflection: being able to reflect on what went well and what went wrong after tackling a problem.
Problem solving skills have served me well throughout my career as a product manager in tech, business consultant, and founder. I owe a lot of it to having thought strategically about video games very early on in life - I've been Masters in Team Fight Tactics and other strategy games. I've seen video games being increasingly used as job assessments too. The biggest example would be McKinsey's new problem solving game that they use in between the resume screen and the first interview. These games are designed to assess thinking. It was a breeze when I went through it because the games were an ecosystem builder and a tower defense game, both of which I already understood the underlying principles of.

This class will involve video games from the web. We will stick to web based games unless we discuss with all attendees and they can all access a different game.
