We will play games, use worksheets I have created, and practice writing our own words. We will also be using the annotation feature in Zoom for interactive lessons. Please be sure your child knows how to do that. I believe that Hebrew can be fun when it’s relevant, interesting, and interactive. I enjoy sharing my love for Hebrew by showing the kids that it is useful and exciting. I give my students the tools they need to face obstacles, persevere, and overcome challenges. In class, we use mistakes as learning opportunities, discuss big ideas, make connections, and learn to be problem solvers. I like to have fun and be a little bit silly. I'm a kid at heart, yet still professional with a passion for learning and teaching.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will improve their understanding of the Hebrew alphabet including the letters and vowels. They will be able to read small words by combining the learned letters and vowels and expand their vocabulary.

My Experience with Hebrew
I attended Hebrew school from kindergarten to 9th grade. I had a Bat Mitzvah and was able to read from the Torah.
In high school, I taught 4th grade Hebrew School that included planning lessons and creating fun activities to help the kids learn the alphabet. I also substitute taught and tutored Bar and Bat Mitzvah students.
During college, I spent a summer in Israel volunteering at a summer camp. I lived with a host family and learned a lot of words, phrases, and basic conversation skills.
Last year, I taught my son Hebrew for his Bar Mitzvah. As a beginner student, I taught my son the Hebrew alphabet and vowels and he was able to read Hebrew during his service.
