In this class, students will learn the 28 letters of the Arabic alphabet along with their various letters and forms. This is a great class for those that desire to begin reading in Arabic and need an introduction or perhaps a refresher of the letters and sounds. 

The teacher will address how to pronounce each of the 28 letters of the alphabet. A new vocabulary word will be introduced and associated with each letter. Students will be taught how to identify by  their distinctions, each letter in it's stand alone, initial, medial and final forms. The teacher will demonstrate and allow students opportunities to write each letter in its various forms. 

This class is taught via powerpoint presentation using colorful, engaging and interactive slides which allow students to participate by writing and filling in answers on the screen. 

The teacher will teach the class in an interactive way, conversing with students and allowing students to freely ask questions and practice writing and identifying letters as the lesson is being taught.  The teacher will display a relaxed, fun and encouraging teaching style. Students will interact with the teacher and one another throughout this learning experience with discussion, interactive slides and generally enjoying the lesson.

Each learner will need to access their Zoom tool bar in order to fully participate in the onscreen activities in this class. If this is not a possibility, learners should have paper and pencil or some other form of writing supplies that they can use in order to keep up with the lesson.

I have been teaching basic Arabic reading and writing skills for more than 10 years. I taught Arabic to children in grades Pre-K through grade 2 at a charter school for four years and a private school for seven years. 

Sandra Mouawad 
Sandra Mouawad is an Arabic teacher at Polyglots Academy. She is Lebanese. Sandra Mouawad recognizes the challenge of learning the Arabic language, but believes it to be essential to their development.

Mrs. Sondos 
Mrs. Sondos teaches Arabic at Polyglots Academy. She is half Egyptian and half Syrian and can understand almost every Arabic dialect out there. She is a tutor and part time teacher. Mrs. Sondos graduated from Texas A&M in 2021 and I has been tutoring and teaching since 2019. She believes that everyone, regardless of age, deserves a fair chance at learning. She's seen students struggle and then succeed and has realized that the most important key to success is building a strong foundation in the subject they’re trying to learn. She wants to be the one to help others build and maintain that strong foundation that they’ll take with them wherever they go. She has experience teaching kids as young as 4 years old  how to read, write and speak Arabic at the basic levels.

Dana Kalache 
Mrs. Dana is so excited to be your Arabic language teacher. She lives in California, but is originally Lebanese. She has worked part time as an Arabic translator and cultural advisor for  Disneyland and  Expo Dubai 2020. She is eager to introduce and teach her  wonderful rich language to children around the world.
