In this class, students will learn the basics of crochet. We will be making a washcloth out of 100% cotton yarn. This is basically just a square. Students will learn these beginning stitches, chain stitch, single crochet, and slip stitch. The teacher will be using two cameras to show her hands crocheting and also her face on the main camera. Also a pattern will be provided for students to be able to follow along and learn to read a basic pattern as they learn to crochet. 

Parents: It is important that you are nearby to help those younger students, as the teacher is unable to offer the physical support for students because this is a virtual class. 

Parents: It is required that all students must have the following supplies before coming to class: 

Yarn: Lily sugar N cream 100% cotton yarn: any color is ok, example is white.

Hook: Size G (4mm) crochet hook is needed. This example is just one of the types out there, but any crochet hook size G will work.

The class is recorded, and the recording will be posted in the classroom after class for students to be able to review and practice as needed. 
Most students will not finish this washcloth in class, and that is ok, but they will be able to get started and then will have something to work on for days to come. The teacher is available for after class one on one tutor sessions if students need further help.
