This class is designed for preschool or classroom groups.
Learners will be introduced to and practice French vocabulary commonly used to describe the season for the lesson, the month, French holidays, seasonal animals and plants, clothing, and phrases. 

The first lessons for new language learners focus on the alphabet, letter names, and sounds. 
The alphabet is reviewed in each lesson. As learners continue, French phrases and sentences are introduced. 

If it is practical, learners are welcome to use their arms to mimic motions and to get up and move around. 

August is the month for summer vacations in France

Monday/Wednesday:  August 8 & 10.  Letter A
                                       August 15 & 17  Letter B
                                       August  22 & 24 Letter C
                                      August 29 & 31.  Letter  D

Handouts will be provided of the poems used in class.

I use a slide presentation to show the written word and an image to help with comprehension. Learners first learn individual words before putting words together into sentences at the end of class.  Each week learners are introduced to new vocabulary.


This is an introductory course. 
No knowledge of the French language is necessary for success.
***Parents, please understand that part of learning a language is listening and acquiring. Your child may seem quiet in class, but that is most likely how they are acquiring new knowledge.
