El profesor Kim: palabras y frases en francés para principiantes en invierno, preescolar, primaria

En cada lección, los alumnos más pequeños aprenden los sonidos de una o dos letras del alfabeto, palabras comunes y frases en francés sobre la estación invernal. En clase se utilizan poemas y canciones breves para mejorar la fluidez al hablar.

Experiencia de clase

Do you have a young learner that you want to introduce to the French alphabet and language?

Current classes in December and January focus on arctic and antarctic animals, winter words, holidays, and phrases. Colors: red, blue, yellow, green, black, white, orange, gold, and silver. For each lesson, we review the current day of the week and the date.

Learners practice the names and sounds of the letters in French, recognize the uppercase and lowercase letters, learn vocabulary and practice the lesson vocabulary in phrases and sentences.

French nursery rhymes and poems are taught and repeated over several lessons. They are chosen to correlate with the lesson theme. Nursery rhymes and poems are used to help learn the rhythm and rhyme of the language.

Learners can join at any time during the alphabet, as each class is an individual class that focuses on new words and phrases.

Learners will learn the words for common objects, animals, and actions. I use repetitive sentence patterns that provide a way for learners to practice new words and ideas in a way that helps to develop fluency and comprehension.

Winter Theme: December, January, and February, winter season (weather and clothes), winter sports, artic animals, meals, and daily routines.

Winter Poems: The Colors of December, Have you Seen Santa (Père Noël)

The start of class begins with learners saying hello and a bit of a catch-up in English and French.
Next, we review the alphabet
I introduce the new letter's name and sounds.
Learners will be introduced to common words in French that begin with the new letter: A=avion/plane
Because many letters have more than one sound, the new vocabulary is grouped based on the sound the letter makes. A-arbre, âne
After being introduced to each sound, learners practice the new vocabulary in short phrases and sentences.
Sentences follow a pattern that allows for practice in fluency and comprehension
"Qu'est-ce que tu vois?" (What do you see?).
"Je vois un arbre. Je vois un âne." (I see a tree. I see a donkey)

I encourage learners to use hand motions and move their bodies as they learn new vocabulary.

Before classes begin, please make sure your child is comfortable. It is okay with me for them to sit, stand, or move during the lesson. Young learners may need an adult nearby to help them to focus for the first few lessons. Adults are welcome to sit off-screen during the lesson.

The words and phrases are changed for each session based on seasons and French holidays.
Metas de aprendizaje
