Experiencia de clase

Can you read Hangul, but want to learn how to make sentences? Would you like to form a language habit and build new Korean skills? Join me as I guide you through basic grammar in Korean so that you can start communicating.
Students who have completed Reading Korean for K-Pop Lovers Level 1 can enter this course to continue their studies. If students have not completed the beginner course with me, they should be able to read Korean Hangul to participate in this course. Recognition of the characters and a basic understanding of how to read the characters together as words will be necessary, though students don't have to be speedy. Speed will come with more practice. We will also highlight advanced pronunciation rules to sound more native-like. Knowing some basic vocabulary would be ideal, though if a student is committed to studying vocabulary throughout the week, they may learn it along with the grammar during this class.

We will meet two times a week for fifty-five minutes, on Mondays and Tuesday. The rest of the week, students will be given listening and/or reading homework to complete. Students should be motivated to work on their own be committed to setting a daily Korean study routine. I would recommend at least one hour of Korean a day, which could be anything from listening to music or videos in Korean (following along with a transcript/lyrics when possible), reading, studying flashcards, and/or writing in Korean.

!!**If you've completed Level 1 with me, send a message for a special coupon code to come back for this new Level 2 course.**!!

*Due to the length of the course, the two student minimum must be met for the course to proceed. If only one student is signed up, parents will be notified about 24 hours before class start and we can decide if we would like to cancel immediately, transfer to another section, or if we should wait until two hours before class time for any possible last minute enrollments.*

Grammar points taught in this course can all be found in Korean Grammar in Use, Beginning. I have referenced this book in preparation for the course, and it may be a great purchase during or after for students to continue studies (not required). Korean Language Youtube videos will be recommended for listening practice. Reading material will be sourced from small excerpts from books I own, free sources online, or from original content created by me.
