**UPDATE** In the Spring, we'll be making anime food! **OVERVIEW** In this ongoing class, students will learn to make authentic Asian dishes & desserts. I have created most of these recipes and techniques specifically for students in order to help them to cook independently with simple ingredients. **STRUCTURE** During each session, I will lead students through the recipe step by step by demonstrating the techniques, ensuring that everyone can follow along at their own pace. Students will cook with instructions, ask questions as needed. At the end, they'll have the opportunity to enjoy the delicious food they've prepared. **TIME MANAGEMENT** Recipes may vary slightly in cooking times (30-45 mins). Please arrive on time to make the most of our cooking session. To expedite the cooking process, students are encouraged to pre-measure ingredients and complete any necessary prep work before class. **SAFETY & SUPERVISION** These recipes are designed to be safe and simple, utilizing appliances like the microwave or air fryer. However, some recipes will involve using the stove. Adult supervision and assistance is required. My aim is to equip students with the skills to cook independently while prioritizing their safety. **SUPPLIES** Ingredients are linked on my website as pdf files. Please check the classroom and the welcome email (sometimes in the spam folder) for the link prior to our session. I will also provide links to order the ingredients on Amazon and Weee! Asian Online Grocery. **RECIPES FALL SEMESTER** 1 ⇢ Week of 8/29 - Omurice (Omlette Rice) 2 ⇢ Week of 9/5 - Tea Eggs 3 ⇢ Week of 9/12 - Wonton Soup 4 ⇢ Week of 9/19 - Boba Tea (chewey) 5 ⇢ Week of 9/26 - Scallion Pancake 6 ⇢ Week of 10/3 - Japchae Noodles 7 ⇢ Week of 10/10 - Hainan Chicken Rice 8 ⇢ Week of 10/17 - Fortune Cookies 9 ⇢ Week of 10/24 - Gyudon ⇢ Week of 10/31 - **No Class** 10 ⇢ Week of 11/7 - Chicken Karaage 11 ⇢ Week of 11/14 - Tempura 12 ⇢ Week of 11/21 - Mochi Ice-Cream ⇢ Week of 11/28 - **No Class** 13 ⇢ Week of 12/5 - Chicken Katsu 14 ⇢ Week of 12/12 - Hot Pot 15 ⇢ Week of 12/19 - Mochi Donuts **END OF SEMESTER**
