This Ongoing class is for students who already know letter names, letter sounds, and are able to use a pencil or marker (as we will be writing). This is the perfect class to help your child take their phonics skills to the next level (reading and writing CVC words) and build their reading confidence.  

The class will be broken down into three major areas; word building, word writing, and reading fluency. Join at any time during the curriculum, the curriculum repeats after 6 weeks, so any missed lessons will be repeated.

This class requires letter tiles, a printout is provided at enrollment.  If you do not have a printer, you may write the letters by hand onto paper and have your child use those to make words.

This class will meet 2X a week for 30 minutes and will introduce short vowels (CVC words). 

For each lesson I will introduce the targeted short vowel.  
As a group we will practice building words that have that vowel, we will be using letter tiles (a handout will be provided for students to use).  
After building each word with letter tiles, we will practice writing some of those words on our whiteboards.  
To finish off we will play an interactive game that reviews content learned during class.
