After teaching on Outschool for over 2 years, I have greatly enjoyed sharing my uniform collection and knowledge with learners all over the world. The idea for starting a class like this came organically from conversations with students with collections of their own. They constantly want to share their own collections and learn more about uniforms and equipment from different time periods and eras of history. So the idea for a Junior Reenactor class on Outschool came to life!

I will:
Share my knowledge of military history and uniforms 
Mediate student discussion on a variety of historical topics and subjects
There will be a new topic each week for discussion
Students will have ample time each session to discuss their opinions and show their collections

There will be a new topic each week. Topics will include, but are not limited to:

Week of January 9th: British uniforms of WWII
Week of January 16th: German uniforms of the Great War
Week of January 23rd: Early War Soviet uniforms of WWII
Week of January 30th: Airborne uniforms

There will be new topics introduced each week thereafter.

Overall, it will be a great forum for students to meet and discuss their love of history and uniforms!

I teach by using slides, original photographs, video clips, discussions and more. There will be several question/answer periods during the session to address questions and comments. Some prior knowledge of military history helpful, but not a must. For some of these sessions, when appropriate, I will be dressed in a period uniform for each session.
