Students will learn to identify basic shapes and features of selected creatures.  Students will learn techniques for recreating those creatures on paper through guided instruction.  Students will learn introductory facts about the featured mythical beings, and will practice observation skills as we examine those creatures for their main features and shapes.  Students will practice following directions, asking questions, and presentation skills.  

I'm so excited to share my love of magical creatures with you!  I've been teaching STEAM and social studies topics like this one to preschool through middle school for 7 years through an independent STEAM education company, and I'm really looking forward to connecting with new students here on Outschool.  Not only will we be learning about the fantastic world of magical beasts--but we'll sneak in some colors, numbers and math, comparing and contrasting, observation, art skills, and more--all things that preK-through-2nd graders love to learn and practice!  Best of all, your child will have the opportunity to share, share, share all of their favorite magical facts and stories!
