We will be covering a wide amount of content that focuses on getting you the support you need for a trip or a move over to Japan. This course is designed for those who completed both Sakura and Take courses and are over 15 years of age. The focus of the course is not to follow a curriculum-aligned structure but to focus on content that is applicable to traveling and living in Japan. This includes the following:

1. Introducing yourself to your new boss/co-workers
2. Asking for directions/Giving directions
3. Finding something at the store and asking how much it is
4. Asking when and what time an event is and where it is being held
5. Ordering food and making food request
6. Asking for something to be delivered
7. Buying tickets at the train station/Translating the tickets
8. Navigating the train stations of Japan
9. Using ATMS and going to the bank
10. Going to the hospital or clinic
11. Filling out your documents with information
12. Gift-giving in Japan and accepting gifts
13. Visiting a home

This isn't a strict outline as the content will also be dependent on the student's individual interests and goals for when they visit or move to Japan.
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will be learning set phrases, questions, and how to answer in each section. The goal is to provide students information on how to increase fluency in order to "survive" in Japan. In addition, students will focus on how to respond appropriately to questions in these situations. For example, in number 2, we cover findging something at the store and asking how much it is. We should be able to ancitipate questions the storeclerk might ask us. One such question might be:

Us: su-pu ha doko deshouka (Where is the soup)
Clerk: Donna su-pa ga iin desu ka. (What kind of soup?)
Us: kon su-pu onegasgimasu. (Corn soup please)

This way, we aren't left fidgeting and worrying about how to answer as we already ancitipated this question. This isn't the best example but we will explore ways to anticpate questions.
