This class is perfect for the student who already has a strong interest in investing in stock market and real estate. We will learn the fundamentals including the definition and different types of stocks/real estate. We will also explore how to select stock/real estate investment, how to create a balanced portfolio, and how to fund your investment. The class will progress through inquiry-based learning. Concepts and knowledge points will be introduced through key questions each week. 

Week 1: What is stock? How the stock is evaluated, i.e. how the share is priced? What is risk and return? 
Week 2: What are different types of stock? What are key characteristics of each type? We will also discuss the importance and the approach to building a balanced portfolio.
Week 3: How do you select the stock you want to invest in? What other securities you can invest in to achieve a similar goal? This week, we will also set up the stock simulator to track the stock/portfolio each of us picks/creates. 
Week 4: What different types of real estate we can invest in? What are the key benefits of investing in each type? What kind of income/value we can generate by real estate investment?
Week 5: How do we select the real estate? How do we fund our investment? What is the mortgage loan application process? What is process like to buy stock/real estate
