This class will be an introduction to the Acoustic and Electric Bass. Topics will include learning the names of the strings, how to tune your instrument, and how to hold the instrument. I will also demonstrate the range of the instrument by performing a few nursery rhymes. The students will be encouraged to play along, but there will be no pressure to do so if they just want to watch. This class is meant to be a fun introduction to the Bass. No experience or instrument is required. This would be a great way to learn more about the Acoustic/Electric Bass before beginning private lessons.

Experiencia y certificaciones del docente
1) I'm offering private lessons for Acoustic Bass (string bass, double bass, upright bass), Electric Bass, and Guitar. I teach all ages and levels, whether you're studying music for professional purposes or as a hobby.
2) I've been a professional musician (performer & teacher) for over 20 years. I studied music in the jazz program at Humber College in Toronto, Canada. I perform in many different groups of diverse and varying styles, including jazz, classical, musical theatre, pop, and rock music.
3) I believe music lessons should be a fun, positive experience. My own music lessons growing up were always something I looked forward to and I want to pass on that experience to my own students. Every student learns at a different pace so the lessons are tailored to meet the student's individual needs. My main teaching objective is to engage each student, encourage their love of music, and to inspire an ongoing sense of personal achievement.
