Introducción a la arcilla
En esta clase única, los estudiantes aprenderán los conceptos básicos de la arcilla usando arcilla seca al aire. Juntos realizaremos una creación en arcilla utilizando las técnicas enseñadas en clase. Los estudiantes podrán hacerme preguntas durante la parte de fabricación de arcilla.

The basics of hand building with clay will be taught in this class. Students will learn best practices for keeping clay together using two main techniques (on pinch pots and coils). I will demonstrate these skills and go over how to keep clay together by scoring and joining. After I demonstrate, students will brainstorm and share ideas for their creation giving them lots of choice while using techniques we have learned. Then they will start creating and share ideas. I am an elementary school teacher and teach clay to all of my students from Kindergarten to Fifth grade. Clay can be a fun medium to work with once you know the basics! I am here to teach the basics and give students a strong foundation to build upon.
