Dear Families, Konnichiwa, I am Amy sensei. Welcome to Guided Japanese Learning. If this is your first time taking classes on Outschool: *******Use Promo code AmyNish2020 to receive $20 off any of my classes or any class on Outschool**** Konnichiwa, I am Amy sensei. I hope you will join me as we make friends and learn Japanese in this warm, playful, and supportive class created for 3-6 year olds. I share a hands-on Montessori Approach to language learning with the goal of creating positive feelings for the children as they begin to learn this beautiful language. _______________________ This class is meant for absolute beginners and beginners with a little bit of exposure. I provide a unit of classes to support learners in Homeschool and attending other schools during the day. I provide the songs and vocabulary as print outs so you can practice and sing with your child outside of class time if you would like. Join Let's Begin! Japanese Basics for Kids in any order. I will create a predictable routine to support comfort, confidence and comprehension. ________________________ There will be weekly printouts for hands on activities. All the materials I have designed to support learning at home. Please print out so your learner can fully participate. Please have a pencil, scissors, a glue stick, crayons or colored pencils available for each class. Printouts will be posted weekly in the classroom. The standard 8 pack of crayola crayons will have all the colors your learner will need. The colors we may use: red, blue, yellow, green, pink, purple, black, and brown. ____________________________ As a Montessori teacher with eighteen years of experience teaching children, and ten years of experience living and teaching in Japan, I am thrilled to offer this class as a part of your child’s routine. I use props, pictures, a felt board, puppets, gestures and movement to bring life and understanding to the language. I am observant, personable, and playful and love to have a connection with the children and follow the needs of the group. I will speak in English at times only as a tool to support understanding when needed. 1.Greeting Song 2.Counting in Japanese Warm up 3.Learning the new song of the week 4.Weekly Theme: Japanese Storybook, Felt Board Time, and/or Game 5.
