Students will review all staff notes they have learned so far, from F below the bass clef staff to G above Middle C.
Students will learn to read and play harmonic intervals (3rds, 4ths, 5ths, and 6ths).
Students will be introduced to three- note chords and how to play them in harmonic progressions
Students will play pieces in 4/4 time, 3/4 time, 2/4 time, and 6/8 time.
Students will learn to count rhythms with quarter notes, half notes, whole notes, eighth notes, and dotted half and quarter notes.
Students will complete music theory worksheets to learn pitches, rhythms, and other written musical notation.
Student will play at least one new solo piece each week. Additional 3-5 part ensemble piano pieces will be introduced as appropriate.

Typical lesson begins with teacher's explanation of the new music theory information, reinforced with a worksheet, and put into practice with a new solo or ensemble piano piece, ending with review of previous concepts.
Prerequisite: Beginning Piano, Level Two or equivalent.
