- Students will improve their writing skills by following a structured format and learning to add style to their sentences. Students will gain confidence in writing. Students will grow their vocabulary. Students will improve their English grammar.

Frecuencia: incluidoDetalles: This is not a graded class. However, students will be awarded points based on how complete their checklist is. Learners will turn in their homework, and I will provide feedback to them. Learner progress is assessed through the completion of assignments and participation in class.
Students should have a solid understanding of basic English grammar. Students should be able to form a complete sentence. Students should be able to read at a fifth grade level or higher.
The book required for this course is: IEW Wonders of Science Writing Lessons student book. https://iew.com/shop/products/wonders-science-writing-lessons-student-book-only Students will need a thesaurus. Students will need to be able to type their essays.

IEW Wonders of Science Writing Lessons student book: https://iew.com/shop/products/wonders-science-writing-lessons-student-book-only Students may choose to use Google Docs to type their papers. These should be saved as a PDF and uploaded in the classroom. At times, the Nearpod app will be used. Students will be given notice for class sessions that will utilize this.
