This class introduces students to the essential roles and locations that create the fabric of our communities. With a dynamic mix of writing, reading, and interactive activities, students will develop a profound understanding of how various people and places contribute to the vitality of their community. Target Audience: Perfect for elementary students in grades 1-3, this curriculum accommodates diverse learning styles and abilities, ensuring every student can participate and thrive. Objectives: Deepen Community Understanding: Help students recognize and appreciate the roles and locations that make up their community. Develop Writing Skills: Enhance students' writing capabilities. Foster Curiosity and Engagement: Inspire students to explore and engage with their local communities. Key Components: Writing Instruction: Structure and Style: Teach students to craft clear, structured paragraphs and short essays. which includes brainstorming, outlining, drafting, and revising. It's lovely to meet you! I hold a Bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University, and bring a unique educational background, having been homeschooled from Kindergarten through 12th grade. This experience has equipped me with a solid foundation in creative and effective writing techniques. For the past six years, I have passionately taught writing to K-12 students, helping them find their voice in both English and Spanish. My diverse teaching experience allows me to connect with students and make learning an engaging adventure.
