Tarea
2-4 horas por semana. Assignments, which will consist of 1-3 paragraphs, will be posted each week and are due one week after they are assigned (unless otherwise noted). Checklists will be provided to remain on task and reach the hightest score possible. Resubmissions are allowed should corrections need to be made. Source texts, note posters, and other items to help remember concepts will be provided. In some cases students will need to research and bring their own sources to class to complete assignments. Several assignments will be linked to the reading of the literature, therefore the literature reading is a required portion of this course and required for success of the course.
Evaluación

Part 2 of 2 - 15 week courses.  Previous IEW experience is not necessary, but is helpful. 

Each week we will talk about the historical topic that goes with our lesson.  The IEW techniques and assignment will also be introduced, explained, demonstrated, etc..  Assignments, which will consist of 1-3 paragraphs, will be posted each week and are due one week after they are assigned (unless otherwise noted).  We will complete kahoot quizzes at the complete of each literature assignment, as well as discuss the book each week. 

Each week new dress-ups, sentence openers, decorations, advanced additions, etc., will be introduced to help enhance your child's writing.  Checklists will be provided to remain on task and reach the hightest score possible. Resubmissions are allowed should corrections need to be made.  

Source texts, note posters, and other items to help remember concepts will be provided.  In some cases students will need to research and bring their own sources to class to complete assignments.  Several assignments will be linked to the reading of the literature, therefore the literature reading is a required portion of this course and required for success of the course.

Week 16 – Unit 6 –  A New Kind of King
Week 17 – The Diaspora
Week 18 part 1 – Mongols devastate the east
Week 19 part 2 –  exploring the east 
Week 20 – Unit 7 - To the authorities, Robin Hood is a criminal and a social menace, but to the common people, he is a hero and a force for good. How do you view him? How would someone like Robin Hood be treated today?
Literature: Adam of the Road 
Week 21 - What qualities does Little John have that make him suitable as Robin’s right-hand man?
Week 22 -  Do you think Lawrence is justified in stealing food? Why or why not?  Or Is Roger a good father? Why or why not?
Week 23 – 2 paragraphs - Describe Adam and Perkin’s friendship in your own words. Is Adam a good friend to Perkin? Is Perkin a good friend to Adam?
Week 24 – intro & conclusion
Week 25 – unit 8  intro and conclusion week 18 & 19
Literature: Tales from Shakespeare 
Week 26 – prominent person from Middle Ages – 3 body paragraphs
Henry of Anjou, Charlemagne, Capetian France, Ivan the Great and Ivan the Terrible 
Week 27 – intro and conclusion
Week 28 – Unit 9 literary critique – Shakespeare story
Week 29 – Unit 9 character analysis
Week 30 -  Intro and conclusion
