Words are powerful. Words convey meaning. Words are an important tool to communicate ideas and make conversations more effective.
In this ongoing series of classes, we will meet once a week and discuss how one word can be used in at least 4 to 5 different ways. In each meeting we will cover 4 words and their multiple usages (at least 4).

For example: Bar.
I bought a bar of chocolate.
He had a drink in a bar.
You have raised the bar with your performance.
I bar you from entering this room.
He studied law and joined the bar association.

Activities covered each week -
 1) 4 words, their usages and their meanings for Grade 4 to Grade 7 students. (A word or two may be difficult; however, I will ensure the child has understood the application of each word).
2) Usage in a sentence (each word).
3)Fill in the blanks.
4) Write their own sentences and read aloud in class. Each child will speak/ write 15-16 sentences. If they do not finish the sentences in class, they may submit in the learner's tab, one on one, after the class.

Children should bring a notebook or loose leaf/foolscap papers to write on, along with a sharpened pencil/pen.

 Class Duration - 30 minutes.
Teacher and new student introduction - 2-3 minutes
Introduction of the words - 2 minutes
Explanation of the words-2 minutes
Discussion/ answering questions - 20 minutes
Recap of the class/ Questions/ Takeaway - 4-5 minutes (approximately).

This is an ongoing class; I shall keep adding dates and words as time progresses.
A one page handout will be sent the day before the class; if possible, please get a printout.

Class duration - 30 minutes. I may go beyond by 5 minutes, if I feel the class needs extra support. Please let me know if your child needs to leave on time.
I will accommodate transfer requests if made 24 hours in advance; last minute transfer requests may not be honored for various reasons. I do not teach make-up classes.

I shall accommodate transfer requests once in 6 weeks, as long as I am notified 24 hours in advance.
If I, as a teacher, have a scheduling conflict, I shall either contact you to reschedule for a different time or issue a refund.

I share class recording on request; however, if there is an unverified learner who has not attended class, I will not share that class recording. I take my class safety very seriously, so does Outschool.

Class Rule :This is an interactive class; hence, children are expected to keep their cameras turned on, at all times, during the class.
If your child needs any special accommodation, or alternate seating arrangement, please let me know in advance, so that I can accommodate them and they can get the most benefit from the class.

If you do not find an available section at your convenient time and date, please let me know or check again later. I add classes every week and you will find one that suits you. Please check that you are signing up for the correct local  date and time.

Refund / Transfer policy:

As per Outschool policy, there will be no refund/rescheduling for missed classes. I will be happy to transfer/ reschedule the student if intimated at least 24 hours in advance, as I might not be able to fill the vacant spot on a shorter notice. This would translate to one student claiming 2 spots.
