Hi wonderful families! 
I would love to have your learner join me in this fun writing class! In this ongoing class, we will learn to write and illustrate a sentence together. I love to teach in creative and fun ways to engage all learners. I have a Mystery Box and will give the learners clues so they can guess what is inside. This item inside is what we will write about!  We will describe it with adjectives and go through the writing process together. As we write, we will learn about spelling patterns, phonics, vowels, letter sounds, and sight words. When writing we will learn about using a capital letter at the beginning of our sentence, putting spaces between words, and ending our sentence with a punctuation mark. 

While we are writing we will use our knowledge of the letter sounds to help us build words and learn about phonics rules, spelling, vowels, diphthongs, digraphs, blends, and sentence structure.  

When we are finished writing our sentence, we will edit our writing and then draw a picture about our sentence. 

At the end of our class, all the learners will be invited to share their writing and picture with our class. If they don't want to share, that is completely fine! We will applaud and celebrate each writer! 

I love to celebrate all of the writers so we will give positive feedback about their writing and pictures! My goal is to help instill a love of writing and drawing in each writer, to help learners to feel successful and to have fun writing!!!
