This is an online typing class for beginners. By the end of the course, your learner will no longer be considered a beginner and should feel confident using the keyboard. We will be moving at the learner's pace to learn keyboarding using Keyboarding Without Tears. The program we will be using is grade specific depending on the learner. I will be teaching the home row and proper finger placement, which will invoke muscle memory. 

These will help the learner to identify the keys to later be able to type without looking. Progress will start slowly but will be monitored through periodic typing tests. I am looking for accuracy before speed. We will be doing some fun activities to help us memorize sections of the keyboard. The end goal of these courses is for the learner to be able to type by sound rather than by looking at the keyboard. This gives them the ability to read what they are writing while they type, checking for inaccuracies. We will also be going over digital literacy and citizenship throughout the course.

This is a beginner kids online typing class that will teach how to type using the home row. The goal is for your learner to increase their words per minute and possibly even type without looking due to the muscle memory they've built! I can't wait to see your learner in my keyboarding class.
