The CLEP Human Growth and Development exam is designed for students who want to demonstrate their knowledge of the physical, cognitive, and social aspects of human development. This test covers a wide range of topics including prenatal development, infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and aging. Key concepts such as nature vs. nurture, attachment theory, cognitive development theories by Piaget and Vygotsky are all essential components of this exam. By studying factors such as genetics, environment, culture, and socioeconomic status; examinees can gain insight into how these variables influence an individual's growth trajectory throughout the lifespan. Furthermore, students will  also explore key milestones in emotional and social development such as Erikson's stages of psychosocial development or Kohlberg's stages of moral reasoning. This comprehensive examination allows students to showcase their understanding of various theories and research findings related to human growth and development across different life stages.
