This is a one-time class in which we will learn how to paint our own galaxies! We will discuss various watercolor techniques to get the effect we're looking for, but how your galaxy comes out is totally up to you! There will be plenty of space for creativity and exploration to make you artwork unique! I will walk you through every step of the way and give you cool tips on how to make your artwork looks its best! This will be a very laid back and relaxing class designed to spur on learners' creativity and give them the space to design their own shapes, using their own colors! No experience needed and beginners are encouraged! This is a great subject to try when using watercolors for the first time!

We will be painting together with images from space, but no frightening concepts will be discussed. Only arts and crafts.

Paper, water, masking tape, a drying rag (a paper towel will do), paint brushes, and watercolor paints! A white gel pen or white acrylic paint is also welcome to make small stars, but not necessary.

Hiya! I'm Stacy! I love all things art and animation! I'm a huge cartoon and anime fan, and love to share my passion with my students!
I have been teaching drawing, digital painting, and animation online since 2020, and have had over 50 long-term private students! I have also been a freelance artist and animator since graduating with my Master's in Medical Art in 2019.
One of my most important values in teaching is to build students' confidence in themselves. Especially in art, people can be so hard on themselves! I will always encourage my students to do their best, and allow themselves some grace when trying something new for the first time. Self-confidence and self-love is important! That's why I take extra special care to pay attention to the way we talk to ourselves in class. We encourage each other and take pride in the things we succeed in!
