Use code ANANEW55 to get $5 off your first class!! Do you love seeing all the different types of cartoon animals on tv or in films? Would you love to learn how to draw them? Then this is a suitable class for you! In this ongoing class, we will learn and draw animals from shows and movies along with their style. Students will also get the chance to explore their creativity by creating their own cartoon animals! Students will learn how to map out proper proportions using simplistic shapes and then turn them into fun and stylized characters. Beginners are welcome but basic drawing skills are recommended! As long as you love drawing and cartoons you'll have fun! *This is not a realistic drawing class.* We will look at proper proportions, as well as exaggerated proportions, texture, and tiny details, to improve our drawing skills and develop each student's style! I will be sketching and inking and IF time permits we will be also coloring our drawing. Hello! My name is Ana, but my students call me Ms. Ana. I am a practicing artist by day and an Art teacher by night!
In 2012, I worked as a Daycare Assistant at the Royal Daycare & Learning Centre in Mississauga, ON. I cared for large groups of children with fun-directed activities, including nature walks, arts and crafts, and snack time.
I have been the Art Teacher at Canadas School of Music and Arts in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, since 2016. I teach Kinder Arts classes for ages 4 to 6, Art fundamentals for ages 6 to 13, and private lessons for any age group. I am responsible for creating lessons and curricula and helping students develop their artistic skills by drawing, painting, and sketching. I am proud of making monthly themed lesson plans for my students, in which we explore different mediums, such as; acrylic paint, watercolor paint, pastels, and pencil crayons.
My teaching philosophy is based on finding your confidence as a growing artist. Through constructive criticism and confidence building, anyone can learn!
