Class Description:
In this interactive and engaging course, students will learn what it means to be a Superhero—someone who has the courage and creativity to stand up against injustice and solve big problems. The course will cover key topics such as courage, advocacy, and creative problem-solving, using group discussions, lectures, videos, and hands-on activities. Students will work together to develop new solutions to global challenges and will have the opportunity to present their ideas in a supportive environment. No prior experience or knowledge is required—just a willingness to think big and make a difference!

Class Experience:
The course will be a mix of interactive lessons, group discussions, and hands-on activities designed to inspire and empower students. Each week, students will explore new topics related to being a Superhero, with plenty of opportunities for collaboration and creative thinking. The teaching style is hands-on and coaching-oriented, with a focus on engaging students in meaningful discussions and projects. Learners will interact through video clips, lectures, course assignments, and activities, with ample support from the instructor.

Lección 1:
Week 1: Welcome and Introduction to Being Unreasonable
 Topics: Introduction to the concept of being an Unreasonable Kid, watching the video "The Girl Who Silenced the World for 5 Minutes," and discussing how this is an example of being unreasonable.

Activities: Group discussion on the video, brainstorming how to apply the idea of being unreasonable to solve problems.

Week 2: Exploring the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
 Topics: Introduction to the UN SDGs, watching an overview video, and discussing the role of kids in achieving these goals.

Activities: Interactive discussion on the SDGs, identifying areas of interest, and brainstorming potential solutions.

Week 3: Case Studies and Developing Unreasonable Kid Speeches
 Topics: Learning from case studies of kids who have created solutions to global problems, exploring the elements of an Unreasonable Kid speech.

Activities: Group analysis of case studies, practicing and developing personal Unreasonable Kid speeches.

Week 4: Unreasonable Kids Pitch Day!
 Topics: Final presentations where students pitch their ideas and solutions to the class.

Activities: Each student delivers their Unreasonable Kid speech, receives feedback, and participates in a class discussion on the impact of their ideas.

There are no prerequisites for this course. It is open to all students, ages 6 - 11, who are interested in making a difference in the world.
