Homeschool Think Tank Club (ages 7 - 8 ) is specifically designed to offer younger homeschool students a place to connect in a FUN game-like approach to use problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Each session will focus on Think Tank questions that pose a "Would you rather " or "What if" problem. Topics will be learner-directed and/or dictated weekly due to current events and happenings. This will increase student interest and help each topic to be more relevant to students.

Each session will focus on Think Tank questions that pose a "Would you rather " or "What if" problem. The class will follow
one of two game formats which involve either group or individual responses:
Format 1. Group collaboration - A "Would you rather" or "What if" question is presented to the class. The class is then divided into two teams with each team assigned a specific side of the question to defend. The teams will work in breakout rooms to discuss solutions to the problem. Each team member contributes ideas. Teams will then rejoin the main room. Teams will take turns presenting their responses to the topic question and earning points for their team.

Format 2. Individual response - The class is divided into teams. Play alternates between teams with one team team member from each team drawing a random "Would you rather" or "What if" question. The team member who is "up" has a designated amount of time to think of an answer to earn points for his/her team.

The teacher is particularly tuned in to homeschool needs as a veteran homeschooler as well as a traditional educator. Every class stands on its own with no outside class preparation needed. As an ongoing class, learners can join or leave the club
at any point. This budget friendly approach for the homeschool family as the class fee is paid on a weekly basis instead of one large lump sum. The focus of each class is to practice social skills, communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and sportsmanship in a fun setting. This is especially helpful for students who struggle with shyness and social anxiety.
