Spring is recognized as a time to celebrate reading and writing. April is known for poetry and the month of March for reading good books. Celebrating is always much more fun with a discount. 

This class is for homeschool learners that crave creativity, social interactions, discussions, and learning. In this class, we do not stick to the US state standards. Instead, we focus on creativity and finding the joy of writing. We dive deep into books for the love of the story. We will write without pressure or worries. Topics are selected that enable students to become stronger readers and writers while demonstrating the students' true selves. We will meet 2 times a week for 12 weeks. We will play games, complete fun activities, write, and discuss poems and a novel. The novel will be read outside of the class meetings.

Why are Dr. Seuss's books so popular? What did he do differently in his books? Did you know Dr. Seuss books are not only for the young but for tweens, teens, and even grandparents? How can his silly, rhyming books speak about social injustice, the environment, and other important world topics?

We will start with some poems and make a poetry journal. Writers may choose to make a general journal in place of a poetry journal.
Hmmmm? Did you ever notice the difference between poetry and novels? I am thinking about capitalization and punctuation. Let's see if you can come up with the difference.
