These sessions will include listening to several Holiday classics. Students will identify and discuss story elements while teacher reads aloud. 

Routine: Introductions, Holiday Read Aloud of the Day, Discussion: Story Elements, Summary 

We will read holiday classics for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas. They will include teacher discussions and students will have the opportunities to briefly share about their culture and traditions. After the read aloud, we will discussion story elements, identifying characters, setting, and plot. We will conclude our lessons with a summary of the story. 

Students will need a writing notebook to draw their graphic organizers.

⭐️ Week 5: The Runaway Pumpkin- Kevin Lewis
⭐️ Week 6: Arthur's Thanksgiving - Marc Brown

Extra time after scheduled sessions: We'll read The Thankful Book- Todd Parr!
