History Herald: Crazy & Wild History - Historical Fictions & Mind-Bending Truths In this one time class, students will learn about some of the most amazing truths of history that are often never heard of while unearthing some of history's biggest lies! Come with us to discover the true facts of history! Sometimes, the truth of what really happened gets covered up in stories- myths and legends- that go on to be accepted as the truth. Other times, the amazing truth gets lost in time. This class is to help students discover some of the amazing past through dynamic interaction and presentation! Did you know that Marie Antoinette Never Said "Let Them Eat Cake"? Did you know that Abe Lincoln Was a Wrestling Champ? Did you know that The Pope Once Declared War on Cats? Did you know that the Titanic's Owners Never Said it Was "Unsinkable"? These are just a few of the amazing stories we will uncover during this historical excavation to discover the truth! No prior knowledge is needed for this class. This class will be delivered via presentation and encourages student interaction with the teacher and other students. This is a fun class that offers some amazing history to encourage student learning.

I am a certified classroom educator with a master's degree in education and a second master's degree in history. With over 15 years of experience working with learners of all levels, I am confident that even the most hesitant learner can be excited and engaged in every lesson!
I love exploring all things history! From the Highlands of Scotland to the Plains of America, from the Amphitheater in Greece to the Great Wall in China, history is the story of who we are. And, English is the tool to uncover, decode, analyze, and communicate the past. Paired together, these subjects are a dynamic duo.
