Experiencia de clase

Aaron Burr regained popularity from the musical "Hamilton." He wasn’t a perfect man and some historians considered him a “Fallen Foundering Father”. Since this is a 60-minute class, we will cover the general facts about Aaron Burr. We will be using the book Aaron Burr: More Than a Villain for the class. This book is appropriate for U.S. grade levels 4 to 6. The class will discuss his early life. We will discuss his role in the Revolutionary War and why he was considered a war hero. We will discuss his political life and his activism for women's rights and enslaved people. We will look at reasons for the duel with Alexander Hamilton. The class will discuss his portrayal in the musical Hamilton. Finally, we will look at his legacy in history. I will incorporate the Kahoots game as a learning tool for the class.
