Experiencia de clase

Nivel de inglés: desconocido
Grado de EE. UU. 8 - 11
Nivel Beginner
In this class, students will entertainingly learn the fundamentals of speaking, reading, and writing Japanese. We will cover topics like basic greetings, introductions, numbers, and everyday vocabulary while practicing hiragana, katakana, and some simple kanji. Students will also learn about Japanese culture and customs to better understand how the language is used in real-life situations.

Class Structure:
Each class is structured to balance speaking practice, reading exercises, and cultural exploration. Lessons will include interactive slides, games, role-playing activities, and video clips to keep students engaged. Students will have opportunities for group discussions, pronunciation practice, and personalized feedback to help them improve.

Concerning Friendly, Safe, Light Role-Playing With Japanese:
Each class will begin with a clear explanation of the role-playing activity, including its purpose and specific guidelines for respectful participation.
Students will be reminded to maintain a positive, creative, and culturally sensitive approach during all role-playing activities.
I will outline expectations on respectful language use and emphasize that the focus is on practicing language skills, not simulating controversial scenarios.
For students who deviate from the parameters, I will gently redirect them by reinforcing class expectations and offering structured prompts to keep them on track.
Again, no sensitive or controversial topics will be included.

Teaching Style:
My teaching style is interactive, student-centered, and supportive. I create a fun, welcoming environment where students feel comfortable practicing and making mistakes. I incorporate games, storytelling, and cultural insights to keep lessons exciting and relevant.

Student Interaction:
Students will engage in live discussions, practice dialogues, language games, and collaborative activities that incorporate their creative energies and preserve high interests with spontaneity. They will also have chances to ask questions and receive individual feedback to help them grow.

1. Pre-Teaching and Setting Parameters: Each class will begin with a clear explanation of the role-playing activity, including its purpose and specific guidelines for respectful participation. 2. Ensuring Diverse Perspectives Without Sensitive Topics: Role-playing will be limited to safe, everyday scenarios such as ordering food at a restaurant, introducing oneself in a new class, or shopping at a market. To ensure exposure to different perspectives, students will rotate roles within the same scenario. For example, in a restaurant setting, they will practice as both the customer and the server. No role-playing will involve historical, political, or socially sensitive topics that could unintentionally depict power imbalances or controversial dynamics. 3. Post-Role-Play Reflection: After each role-play, we will have a guided group discussion to reflect on language use, cultural context, and how the scenario could apply in real life. This reflection will also give students the chance to ask questions or clarify cultural nuances related to the scenario, ensuring they understand the bigger picture of what they practiced. Examples of Allowed Role-Playing Scenarios: - Introducing Yourself at School or Work - Ordering Food at a Restaurant - Shopping for Groceries or Souvenirs - Asking for Directions in a New City - Planning a Trip with Friends - Attending a Japanese Festival and Describing It All scenarios are designed to empower students through language skills and cultural understanding without crossing into sensitive or inappropriate content.
Requisitos previos
This class includes light role-playing to practice real-life situations like ordering food or introductions. All activities are age-appropriate and culturally respectful, with clear guidelines to ensure a positive and inclusive environment.
